The Hogs defeated Sycamore Fastpitch 18-0 in Cortland on Saturday. Tom Crouch (3×4 2RBI), Brian Tobin (3×4) and Brian Crouch (3×5) were the hit leaders for the Hogs. Brian Tobin picked up the win and Vic Flores had a good outing in relief.
On Sunday, the Hogs traveled to Mazon for a DHer to play the Mazon Merchants. The Hogs lost the opener 11-10. Matt Smith, Scott Beal and Chad Crutcher all ahd three hits for the Hogs. In game two, the Hogs won 8-4 behind a strong performance from Vic Flores. Matt Smith led the team with a 2×4 day at the plate while Tom Crouch was 2×5 with 2 RBI.
The Hogs are next in action at the fifth annual Huslehog Icebreaker in Dekalb. The tournament kicks off Thursday night with the Hogs taking the field against Dekalb County Fastpitch at 615pm.
