Icebreaker Key Games

With the Icebreaker tournament less than two weeks away, here are some games to watch

Friday May 2nd 630pm Hogs vs Razorbacks

It is always nice to start a tournament of on a Friday night. It sets the tone for the rest of the tournament. Come out and watch the host team Hogs play their farm team which is a team that has improved immensely from last season.

Saturday at 130pm Aurora D&M Shamrocks vs Hogs

Aurora is one the top 25 ranked teams in North America. They tote veteran pitcher and future ASA Hall of Famer Doug Gillis and sure ballot Illinois ASA Hall of Famer Bob Ginger. These two teams fought it out in the championship game last year with the Aurora squad coming out on top in their last at bat. The Hogs boast some pitching of their own in Tim Murphy, Brian Tobin and Joe Crouch and come at with you with loads of offensive talent.

Saturday 130pm St. Louis vs Chicago

At the same time of the Auroa-DeKalb game you can turn around and watch this match up. St. Louis‘ pitcher Jason Iuli is in the best shape of his career and he will be battling a tough Chicago team that will put runs on the scoreboard all weekend long.

Saturday 5pm Log Cabin vs Chicago

This game will surely have playoff implications as the Log Cabin have 2007 Illinois State Tournament B Most Outstanding Pitcher Greg Punke on the mound against Chicago
